Obituary of MARIE M. LAGUARDIA

Marie M. LaGuardia, 86, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 30, 1928, the daughter of the late Anthony LaGuardia and Sarah (Palucci) LaGuardia. She is predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Aniello LaGuardia and sister, Ann LaGuardia. Marie worked as a secretary for the City of Stamford Board of Education Maintenance Department for many years. She was actively involved in the Special Olympics and was a member of the Sons of Italy in Norwalk. She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Denise LaGuardia, Christine LaDela (Saverio), Edward LaGuardia, David LaGuardia as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, May 5 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
