Obituary of DOMINICK A. MARINO JR.

Dominick A. Marino Jr. "Doc", 81, a resident of Stamford, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at his home. Born on April 2, 1934 in Greenwich, the son of the late Domenico and Frances (Minnitti) Marino. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Marie (Lettieri) Marino A graduate of Greenwich High School Class of 1953, Dominick attended the University of Connecticut for 2 years. He entered in the U.S. Army on January 27, 1957. He worked at Electrolux, Dart Industries (Liggett-Rexall) and at GTE for the latter 25 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 39, a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a devoted UConn Basketball fan. In addition to his wife, Dominick is survived by his sisters Marie Congelosi and her husband Joseph, Jane Tullo and her husband Vito, his brothers Stephen Marino and his wife Thelma, Frank Marino and his wife Helen, his brother-in-law Anthony Lettieri, sisters-in-law Tina Lorenti and her husband Vinny, Madeline Sabato and her husband Joseph, 26 nieces and nephews, 38 great nieces and nephews, many great-great nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins. He is predeceased by his brothers Patsy Marino, Anthony Marino and his sister Minnie Marino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, April 19 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
