Obituary of ROSE B. RUBINO

Rose B. Rubino, 90, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 23, 1925, the daughter of the late James Bonomo and Philomena (Coperine) Bonomo. She is predeceased by her husband, Michael A. Rubino Sr. Rose graduated from New Haven Teachers College and later attended Columbia University. She worked as an elementary school teacher for the Stamford Board of Education for many years and helped establish Westover Magnet Elementary School. She was past president of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. She is remembered by her family and friends as a generous and kind person who was dedicated to her children and grandchildren and to her community. She is survived by four sons; Anthony J. Rubino and his wife Suzanne, James M. Rubino and his wife Lori, Michael A. Rubino Jr. and his wife Linda, Frank J. Rubino and his wife Irma; her daughter Jeanne Marie Mangino and her husband James; and her sister Jean Robotti and husband George Robotti. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Maria, Joseph, Victoria, Michael, Christina, Sara, and Emily. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
