Obituary of ROSE M. TELESCO
Rose M. Telesco, 97, passed away on April 7, 2015 at home with her loving daughters by her side. Born on February 12, 1918 in Port Chester, NY, the daughter of the late Charles Cavallo and Theresa (Salvatore) Cavallo. She was predeceased by her husband in 1969, Anthony T. Telesco, the owner of Telesco Fuel & Masons' Material Company.
She is survived by her beloved two daughters, Theresa (Telesco) LaRusso and Elaine M. (Telesco) Blackman and her husband Thomas; her son-in-law Phil Raymond; grandchildren Philip (Melanie), Michele (Mike), Tommy (Alison), Brian (Nicole); great-grandchildren Christopher, Jared, Tyler and Ashley. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter in 2010, Katherine M. (Telesco) Raymond, her son-in-law in 2012, Anthony F. LaRusso, and her brother in 1984, Joseph "Trixie" Cavallo.
Rose dedicated her entire life to her children and grandchildren. An exceptional seamstress, she took pleasure in knitting and crocheting blankets. She enjoyed cooking and baking especially around the holidays. Rose was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Rosary Alter Society.
A special thanks to Rose's caregivers for the past 6 years, especially Adeline and Myla. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael Fusco for the care that he has given Rose all of these years. A special thanks to Sister Donna and Fr. deMayo of Sacred Heart Church for their weekly visits and inspiration and hope given to Rose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will follow at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, April 12 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
