Obituary of GLORIA BUZZEO GERSTNER

Gloria Buzzeo Gerstner, 90, of 44 Hinckley Ave, Stamford, CT., passed away on March 11, 2015, at Stamford Hospital, as a result of complications from pneumonia and a concurrent heart attack. Born on Nov. 25, 1924, to Raymond and Raffaella Buzzeo, she had three siblings: Harold, Raymond Jr., and Dolores. She graduated from Stamford High School, attended business school, and was a lifetime hard-working mother. She served as Secretary to the Judges in CT’s Circuit Court, studied court recording, and was employed by Olin in computer programming and data processing for twenty years. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Romano; her children: Gregory, Wayne, Todd, and Michael; grandchildren: Christine, Spring, Dorian, and Sophia; and five great-grandchildren, five nieces and a nephew. A favored, trusted mother and confidant to all her son’s friends, she enjoyed an unflagging sense of humor and love of music. A service for Gloria will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford.
