Obituary of ANTHONY P. CALABRESE

Anthony P. Calabrese, 91, passed away on December 20th, 2014. Born on October 2, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Placido and Grace Calabrese. Anthony served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a tool and die maker for many years. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time in his woodworking shop creating elegant pieces. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Calabrese; two sons, Ronald Calabrese and his wife Juliet; Robert Calabrese; his stepchildren Donald Mitchell and his wife Nancy, Douglas Mitchell and his wife Marsha, Carol Roberts and her husband Harold; his brother, Dominick Calabrese; his grandson, Lee Calabrese; and numerous other grandchildren. Anthony is predeceased by his first wife, Clara Calabrese; and his brothers, Joseph and Louis Calabrese. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 29th, 2014 at 11:30 AM at St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
