Obituary of VICTOR R. UVA

Victor R. Uva, age 76, passed away in Ocala, Florida on March 27, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born January 23, 1940 in Stamford, CT to the late Carmella Faugno and Dominick Uva. He attended Stamford Public Schools. He is survived by his son, Todd Uva and wife Angel and grandson, Quinn of Woodstock, VT, sisters Theresa Bruno of Norwalk, CT, Gloria Uva of Stamford, CT, brother Dominick Uva, Jr. and his wife Renee of Sebastian, FL, and brother-in-law, Frank Giordano of Stamford, and his long-time companion, Bernadette McIntyre of The Villages in Florida. Also surviving Uncle Vic, are niece Diane DiNapoli and husband Michael; nephews Joseph Pierni, Jr., Gary Giordano and wife Nancy, Joseph A. Bruno and wife Denise, Angelo D. Bruno and wife Mary Jane, Dominick M. Uva and wife Patrici a, nieces Camille Smuniewski, Gina Giordano, nephew Gerald Pierni and husband Dom, niece Stephanie Mastino and husband Chris, and several great nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Vic was predeceased by sisters Mary Pierni and husband Joseph, Sylvia Giordano, brother-in-law, Joseph Bruno, niece JoAnn Bruno Teed, and great nephew, Robert Smuniewski. Vic worked for Graphic Color Plate in Stamford for many years and most recently for the Norwalk School System. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
