Obituary of JOHN V. CAPUTO

John V. Caputo, 80, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on Tuesday, December 16th, 2014. Born on April 18, 1934, the son of the late Vito Caputo and Theresa (Racaniello) Caputo. He was a graduate of Stamford High School. John worked at O'Brien Lithography, formerly of Stamford for several years. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Mark Caputo; brothers, Vito "Sonny" Caputo, Michael Caputo; and his sisters, Mary Roswall, Fannie Savona, Anna Jablonsky, and Alice Vaccaro. John is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (Piasecki) Caputo; his children, Joseph Caputo, Brian Caputo, Alicia Colon; grandchildren Erika and Shayna Colon; four sisters, Antoinette Caputo, Virginia Caputo, Elizabeth Dugan, and Josephin Ghiandoni. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. An avid football fan, John will be remembered most for his gentle, generous spirit by all his family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Friday, December 19th, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
