Obituary of YOLANDA PACELLI

Yolanda (Lonnie) Pacelli , a resident of Smith House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 after a long and difficult battle with dementia, and recent battle with cancer. Born on February 22, 1930, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Maria Grace (Moccia) Sullo. Lonnie was 84. Lonnie attended Stamford Public Schools, and held various jobs through her lifetime, retiring in 1990 from the Stamford Board of Education. She is survived by her daughter Debra Perry, and son-in-law Kevin, who were her primary caregivers until they were unable to care for her at home, and granddaughters; Jen Beauleau and her husband Daniel of Stamford, Allie Perry and her husband Joe Milone of Hamden, and Alexandra Pacelli, Samantha Pacelli, & Emily Pacelli all of Panama City Beach, Florida. Lonnie is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Letkowski of Danbury, and Sylvia Bologna of Stamford, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Michael, son Stephen, sister Mary, brother Pat, nephew Robert, nieces Barbara and Jeanne, as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Inurnment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Family will receive friends at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
