Obituary of CAROL A. SORBO

Carol Ann Sorbo, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1946 in Stamford, the daughter of the late Joseph M. Cyboski and Dorothy M. (Burke) Cyboski. A lifelong resident of both Stamford and Greenwich, Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Peter J. Sorbo Jr.; her daughter, Lisa Sorbo Woei and her husband Frank; her son, Peter J. Sorbo and his wife Michelle; her brother, John J. Cyboski and his wife Susan; sister-in-law, Sharon Cyboski; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph M. Cyboski III and Thomas Cyboski. Carol managed the cafeteria at Rogers Elementary School for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing and quilting. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s RC Church’s Rosary Society. St. Mary’s Quilting Group, and Rowayton Quilting Club. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
