Obituary of VICTOR E. FAZIO
Victor E. Fazio, 92, a resident of Stamford, passed away on August 30, 2014. Born on May 21, 1922, Victor was raised by his aunt and uncle, John and Rose Vetter of Erie, PA. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Victor retired from Machlettes, where he worked as a machinist for 30 years. He was a member of the Springdale VFW Post #9617 and also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Victor is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Susan (Pedwano) Fazio, his loving daughters, Jo-Ann Andrasi and Patty Mancini and her husband Frank. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Linda Piacenza and husband Michael, Frank Mancini and wife Michele, Robert Andrasi and fiancée Jessica Cosentino, James Andrasi and wife Michelle, 8 great grandchildren and his longtime caregiver, Marie Laguerre. He is predeceased by his daughter, Darlene Fazio.
Victor loved to entertain and loved to make muffins. He was a great musician, who volunteered his time playing at nursing homes and schools. He was a volunteer for the Stamford Public School Systems where he taught reading as a second language and he also volunteered at the Democratic headquarters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
