Obituary of FRANK CESARIO
Frank "Frankie the Chef" Cesario, who was born in San Fili, Calabria, Italy on October 1, 1940 had passed away peacefully at St. Camillus Nursing Home in Stamford, on March 16, 2016.
Frank came to Stamford, from Italy, in 1953. Started working at The Brass Rail Restaurant for John Tassitano. He went from washing dishes and cleaning tables to becoming a well known Chef here in Stamford. Frank worked in many area restaurants including Jack Daniels in Greenwich, Italian Center Mens Club and The Piedmont Club, just to name a few.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Frantzis, Son in law John, grandchildren Steven (Cesario) Evangelos and Niki Frantzis and his ex-wife and Friend, Joanne Cesario.
He is also survived by his Sister in law, Diane Mollo, Brother in law, Donald Vitti and many Nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his parents Giovanni and Marietta, his Sisters Tina Sammarco and Rose Iantorno, and Brother Antonio.
We wish to thank St. Camillus third floor staff for the care of Frankie and extend Thanks to his roommate and Friend, Benjamin Whittaker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.
