Obituary of THERESA J. LACERENZA

Theresa J. Lacerenza, 92, of Stamford, CT died on July 12, 2014. Born on November 11, 1921 in Stamford to her parents Albert and Josephine Gervasio Russo. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Peter J. Lacerenza, her son Frank and his wife Arlene Norko Lacerenza of Milford, as well as a granddaughter, Christina and her husband Gary Smith of Southington, a grandson, Peter of Danbury, two step-granddaughters, Ellen and her husband Michael Steer of Issaqua, WA, Valerie and her husband Andrew Gospodarek of Lafayette, CA, a step-grandson, Adam Kindilien of Milford, two great-grandchildren; Carter and Reagan and two step great-grandchildren; Ben and Sarah. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Lombardo of Trumbull and her brother-in-law Michael Toreso of Stamford, as well as many nephews and nieces whom she loved like her own children. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, her son, Peter, and brother, Ralph Russo, as well as several brothers- and sisters-in-law. Theresa was an active member of the Sacred Heart Parish Rosary Altar Society and worked in the Parish's Religious Education program for over 30 years. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
