Obituary of MARIANTONIA CALABRESE

Mariantonia "Antoinette" Calabrese, 91, entered into a peaceful eternal sleep on July 5, 2014 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Antoinette was born July 20, 1922 in Arena, Italy to the late Frank and Giovanna (Pisano) Franze. Antoinette came to the United States in 1955. After working at Cutex for many years she began to work for Clairol and retired in 1985. She was an avid gardener, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and especially cooking for her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will always remember her "Nonnie Cookies" which she baked to celebrate all of their accomplishments. Her family will always remember the love she had for each of them. Her family was the most important thing to her. They will cherish her love, guidance and words of wisdom. Antoinette is predeceased by her husband Frank Calabrese, her son Michael Calabrese, an infant daughter and a brother, Michael Franze. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Vukson and her husband Bruce, grandchildren: Linda Kuehn and her husband Mark, Patty Lefort and her husband Lou, Matthew Calabrese and his wife Allison, great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Nicholas and Mackenzie Kuehn, Jenna, Jacob and Jeffrey Lefort, Lillian and Thomas Calabrese. Her family would like to thank the staff at Stamford Hospital for the compassionate care they gave to Antoinette. A special thank you to Dr. Phi Tran for the care and support he provided. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
