Obituary of GENEVIEVE E. VACCA

Genevieve E. Vacca, 82, a lifelong Stamford resident passed away on May 11, 2014 at her residence. Born on December 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Alfonse and Evelyn (Daddona) Vacca. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Sister Rosemarie Vacca of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of the Church in Baltic, CT, and Evelyn Vacca Simone of Lincroft, NJ. She also leaves behind 3 nephews Joseph, Alfonse, Phillip Simone, her niece Lucretia Israel and 11 great nieces and nephews. Genevieve worked as an interior decorator for many years and retired from Sears having worked in the sales department. She was an avid poet, painter and writer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
