Obituary of EUGENIO MARSICO

Eugenio Marsico, 87, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2016 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by his family. Eugenio was born in Luzzi, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy on September 4, 1929. He came to the United States with his family in 1964 and resided in Stamford until his death. He retired from the Stamford Housing Authority after over 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid gardener, took great pride in his vegetable plants, especially the tomatoes and loved to be outdoors. Eugenio is predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosina Docimo Marsico, his parents Giovanni and Rosaria Marsico, his brother Michael and sister Millia. Eugenio is survived by his daughter Mary Frabrizio and her husband Robert of Norwalk, his son Frank Marsico and his wife Lou Ann of Norwalk, grandchildren Amy Balchius and her husband Michael of Norwalk, Robert Frabrizio and his wife Joanna of Norwalk, Frank Marsico Jr. of Norwalk, Michael Marsico of Greenwich and his great-grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas and Joseph Balchius and Gabriella, Olivia and Angelina Frabrizio. There is a private viewing for immediate family prior to the funeral at Lacerenza Funeral Home in Stamford. Funeral services will be held 9:00am Wednesday January 4 at Sacred Heart RC Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Honor of Eugenio to the American Cancer Foundation.
