Obituary of MARGARET SERRICCHIO

Margaret (Peg) Serricchio (DelVecchio) passed peacefully on December 26, 2016. Born on November 15, 1929 to Margaret and Joseph DelVecchio she was a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, spending the last two years living in Trumbull, CT. Peg was previously employed by Bell Telephone as a telephone directory assistant. She cherished being a homemaker, Sunday family dinners and above all a mother, taking great delight in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peg was married for 64 years to the love of her life, Donald J. (Don)on September 16, 1950 and together with Don raised three children. Peg loved and respected life and raised her children to do the same. She will be dearly missed and remembered with fondness. She is pre-deceased by her husband Donald, her son Gary and her grandson, David Serricchio. She is survived byher children, daughter Susan DeLeo and her husband Jack and her son Dante and his wife Ellen. She is also survived by grandchildren; JeffreySerricchio, Jason DeLeo and his wife Christa, Matthew DeLeo and Jacqueline Garthwait and her husband Andrew, as well as great-grandchildren; Colton DeLeo, Evan DeLeo, Mason Garthwait and Sophie Garthwait. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29th at the Lacerenza Funeral Home between the hours of 4:00 PM – 8:00PM. Final viewing will take place at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016, followed by services, 10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford, CT. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
