Obituary of JOYCE SIMONEAU-RYBNICK
Joyce Simoneau-Rybnick, age 73 passed away peacefully on November 21, 2016 surrounded by family following a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. She was a resident of both Stamford and Norwalk.
Born January11, 1943, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Joseph A. and Jennie M. Itri, she was a graduate of Stamford High School. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother,grandmother and friend. Dedicating her life to fully enjoying and caring for her family and friends. She was an entrepreneur, owning and operating, Joyce’s Cleaning Service for many years. On May 10, 1997, she began the second part of her life with her marriage to Paul J. Rybnick. She will always be remembered for her passion for living life and was the epitome of a super fanattending her children and granddaughter’s sporting events. Some will remember Joyce running down the side lines at many softball games.
She is survived byher 2 daughters, Renee M. Simoneauof Stratford and Rachel Matthews of Norwalk. Son-in-law Richard Matthews and beloved granddaughter Brittany Matthews of Norwalk, CT, as well as 1 stepdaughteralong with several grandchildren, nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Marie Jansen of Norwalk, her step daughter Jessica Fleckenstein, and her husband Edward Simoneau.
Services will be held at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave, Stamford, CT on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1:00-4:00PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society http://www.cancer.org/
