Obituary of WILLIAM C. LUNDBERG
William Charles Lundberg, 68, of Stamford CT, was born February 13, 1948 and went to heaven on July 18, 2016 after an 8 year battle with prostate cancer. William was born and raised in Port Chester, NY and a resident of Stamford, CT for over 30 years. William was a Disabled Vietnam Veteran who served his country as a part of the U.S. Navy and Navy Seabees. William had an unwavering work ethic and worked as custodian for the Greenwich, CT Post Office for 14 years before retiring on October 31, 2012.
William was the oldest of four children born to Dora and the late Charles Lundberg and was the beloved husband of Lauren Lundberg for 37 years. William will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, and son who will be deeply missed for his caring and compassionate nature. He is survived by his wife Lauren Lundberg of Stamford, CT; his sister Marion Savitt of Dunedin, FL; two sons Mark Lundberg of Stamford, CT and Charles Lundberg of Fletcher, NC and two grandsons Jesup and Bryce.
Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 5:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10:30AM at St. Maurice Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT. Interment will take place in private.
