Obituary of MADELINE FOGLIO

Madeline Foglio died peacefully and surrounded by family on July 4, 2016 in Stamford, CT at the age of 97. A lifelong Stamford resident, Madeline is survived by her daughter Rita Ferri and her husband William Ferri and their daughters and sons-in-law, Stefanie and Steven Pilla and Kimberly and James Stoddard. She is also survived by her son William Foglioand his wife Terry Foglio and their daughters and son-in-law, Marissa and Graig Vicidomino, Casey Foglio and Danica Foglio. Madeline “Meema” Foglio also leaves four great grandchildren, Thomas, Juliana and Audriana Pilla and Madelyn Stoddard. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Madeline is predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Madeline impressed all with her sharp wit and clear memory. A 75-year member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society, she maintained an unwavering faith in God and family. She will be best remembered for her kind and gentle heart, which endeared her to everyone who crossed her path. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that Madeline and Flavio have been reunited in heaven. Family and friends are invited to call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Stamford. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Sacred Heart Church, where she has been a parishioner for over 90 years.
