Obituary of GLORIA J. SANTORO

Gloria June Santoro, 84, born and raised in Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on June 12, 2016 with her husband and children by her side. Gloria is survived by her husband Rocco Santoro Jr. of 65 years and her children Christine Damon, Lynette Petersen, Rocco Santoro III, Gerald Santoro, Sharon Patane, William Santoro, and Todd Santoro. Along with two sisters Elsie Carretto and Genevieve Zurzola. Gloria was predeceased by her daughter Gloria Jean McGraw and her sisters Evelyn Vanech, Doris Bruno, Myrtle Kieskiewicz and Dorothy Crosta. Gloria was born September 10,1931 to Effie and Joseph Crosta. She worked as a secretary at Therma Tool. Gloria was the sweetest and most loving mimi to her 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving peaceful angel of God. Gloria loved going out, loved to dance and enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford, on Thursday, June 16, from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 17, 2016 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien, CT.
