Obituary of SALVATORE P. ALTIERI

Salvatore P. Altieri, 88, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away on June 9, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. Born on July 19, 1927, the son of the late Joseph and Anna Marie Altieri. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from Barnes Engineering where he worked as an electronic technician. Salvatore is survived by his sister, Jenny Aniello and her husband Joseph; and three generations of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters, Susan Bongo, Pauline Altieri; and brothers Peter Altieri, and Canio Altieri. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Inurnment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT.
