Obituary of MAE MONTANARO

Mae Montanaro, 91, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away on June 6, 2016. Born on October 1, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph Mancusi and Pauline Galasso Mancusi. She is predeceased by her husband, James P. Montanaro. Mae once worked with special needs children as a teacher, then volunteered at the Tully Center where she retired some years ago. She is survived by her beloved children, Paul Montanaro and wife Tammy, Jimmy Montanaro, Janet Montanaro and her husband Joseph Fusaro; her grandchildren, Jim Fusaro and wife Connie, Jessica Potolicchio and her husband Joseph, Dan Montanaro, Janet Stark, Jamie Black; and three great grandchildren, Joseph and Luke Potolicchio, and Joseph Fusaro. Mae is predeceased by her brother, Shay Mancusi; sisters, Katie Valenta, Lucy Donovan, and Grace D'Andrea. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10:30 at St. Cecilia's Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
