Obituary of MARIO TAMBURRO

Mario Tamburro, 82, of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 22nd, 2016. He was the son of the late Giuseppe Tamburro and Antonietta Pampa Tamburro. He was born August 22nd 1933 in Settefrati, Italy. He is predeceased by his wife Donata Quintiliani Tamburro. He is survived by his children Donna Porricelli, Antonio Tamburro and their husband and wife Joseph Porricelli and Jill Tamburro. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Sophia Porricelli, Travis Tamburro, Nicholas Porricelli, Colby Tamburro, Chad Tamburro, Jaden Tamburro and Mariah Tamburro. He emigrated to Stamford in 1972, a few years later after establishing himself as a cobbler. After establishing himself in the United States his wife and their two children joined him in America shortly after his arrival. His most precious time was being with his grandkids and family. Mario was an amazing storyteller, he loved his vegetable garden and took pride in his fig tree. Mario was truly an amazing man with many physical challenges but he had incredible strength, patience and kindness. He was a devoted christen and loved to read his bible, up to the day he passed. His memories will live through all of us. Mario will be missed dearly. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 8:00-10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
