Obituary of Johanna Adipietro

Johanna (JoAnn) Adipietro, age 94 a lifetime resident of Stamford died Friday, July 28, 2017. She was very loved by her family. JoAnn spent her career in cosmetics. She was a supervisor for Cutex and then spent 40 years as a supervisor with Clairol Inc. before retiring.

JoAnn was born March 31, 1923 to Louis and Jennie Rosa Viscardi of Stamford, Connecticut. She married the love of her life, Vincent Adipietro on April 29, 1950.  JoAnn and Vincent had no children, but JoAnn was the "second mother" to all of her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  JoAnn and Vincent traveled extensively until his death in 2005.

JoAnn is survived by her sister, Theresa Serricchio, several nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, including Rita Magyar, Lewis (Chuck) Pace, William Pace and Michael Billone.  She was predeceased by sisters Christine Billone and Rose Marie Pace and her brother Vincent Viscardi.  In addition she was predeceased by her sister-in-law Fanny Dombrowski and brothers in-law John Dombrowski and Al Serricchio.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 8:30am to 10:30am and a mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT.  Entombment will be held at St John 's Catholic Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien, CT.
