Obituary of Mary Colangelo

Mary J ."JoJo" Sabato Colangelo born on August 7, 1927 in Stamford, passed away on October 31, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Rose Lupinacci and Michael Sabato. She was predeceased by her husband Michael "DA" P. Colangelo.  She is survived by her loving children, Michele Niemiera,  sons Michael Colangelo and Leonard Colangelo (Rose),  and her beloved grandchildren ,Aric Niemiera and Peter and Victoria Colangelo.  Also surviving is her sister Theresa Canale. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  She is predeceased by her brother Austin Sabato and sister in law Marygrace Sabato and brother in law Anthony Canale.Mary worked as a Head start reading teacher and as a teachers aide at Hart and Franklin Schools.She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren,gardening and baking.Calling hours will be at the Lacerenza Funeral Home ,8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford ,CT. on Friday, November 3,2017 from 5-8PM. A prayer service will be conducted on Saturday November 4th at 10:30 a.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at  Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery,  Oaklawn Avenue Stamford Connecticut
