Obituary of Maria C Giamba

Maria C. Giamba passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday December 31, 2017 at the Stamford Hospital. Born in Dasa, Province of Vibo Valentia Calabria, Italy September 3, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Rose Licastro Ganino. Maria was pre deceased by her husband Francesco Giamba , who passed away in 2011. Maria is survived by a son Rafael Giamba, and daughter in law Dora I. Urrea Galeano, and three granddaughters Maria Elisa Buchanan , Amelia Yolanda Melchionno , and Adriana Giamba all of Stamford,  and three great grandchildren; Matteo Melchionno, Marco Antonio Melchionno and George Buchanan. Maria is also  survived by two brothers Primo Ganino of Australia, and Francesco Ganino of Italy.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday January 3, 2017 from 4pm-7pm at Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 4, 2017 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. Burial will be private.
