Obituary of Grace Caminiti
Grace Marie Caminiti , 77, of Stamford, CT, ended her courageous 2 1/2 year battle with cancer on Monday, March 19th in Lady Lakes, Florida surrounded by her family.
Grace was a beautiful, bright spirit who was loved by everyone she met. Her contagious laugh and beautiful smile will be greatly missed. She was a talented artist, loving mother and wife and enjoyed music, movies golfing, and spending time with her family. She was a caring mother and grandmother and enjoyed having family visit her in The Villages in Florida, where she retired with her husband, of 58 years on April 7th, Peppi Caminiti.
Grace was born on July 1, 1940 in Stamford, CT to the late Salvatore & Jennie Gambino. Grace is survived by her husband Peppi Caminiti of Florida, daughter, Cathy Szabo (Dan) of Monroe, son, James Caminiti, daughter, Lisa Seitz (Greg), of New York, daughter, Sheri Caminiti, of Massachusetts, sister, Gloria Rosa ( Bruce) of Stamford, brother, Len Gambino, of Stamford, 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Caminiti.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue Stamford, on Monday, March 26th at 10 am. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave, Stamford on Sunday March 25th from 3-6 pm. A private burial will take place at St. Johns cemetery. Grace will be remembered as a beautiful, talented, and selfless woman who loved unconditionally. Her warmth and compassion for others made her unique. The impact she made on those whom she loved will never be forgotten.
