Obituary of Ann Mazza

Ann D. Mazza, 95, went home to be with the Lord on March 31st, 2018.  She was born in Stamford on February 20, 1923 to the late Felix and Antoinette (Leone) Iovino.  Ann's husband, John, predeceased her in February of this year.  They had a wonderful 63 year marriage.

 

Ann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved taking care of her family and was so proud to meet her two great grandsons.  She had a kind and gentle spirit that impacted all she met.  Her faith was an inspiration to us all.  She also had a great love for animals.

 

Ann is survived by her loving daughter Annette Arthur and her husband Richard of Flower Mound, Texas, her granddaughter Jennifer Weant and her husband Austin of Fulshear, Texas, her grandson Christopher Arthur and his wife Megan of Trumbull, great grandsons Parker Weant and Nicholas Arthur and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son John E. Mazza, sisters Theresa Iovino, and Rose Lynch and her husband Stephen, brothers Erasmo and Pat Iovino.

 

The Mazza family would like to thank to extend a special thank you to her family, friends and wonderful caregivers who helped love her to heaven.

Calling hours will be held on April 9, 2018 at Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Ave Stamford, CT from 6pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at 11:00am  at St. Gabriel Church 914 Newfield Avenue in Stamford. Interment will be at a later date.  Donations can be made in Ann's memory to St. Gabriel Church, 914 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905.
