Obituary of Anthony Pasqua

Anthony Joseph Pasqua, 93, of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018.  He was born in Stamford, on November 29, 1924 to the late Ferdinando and Antoinette Mazzucco Pasqua.

Tony had an entrepreneurial spirit and a tremendous work ethic. He owned and operated several small businesses in the Stamford area over multiple decades. No task or project was ever deemed too daunting through his eyes. Tony had a voracious appetite for challenges and overcame many obstacles throughout his life. He was a true craftsman who exercised patience, skill and a love of his many endeavors. Tony approached each day with a positive outlook and always projected a calming and reassuring demeanor. He was also an avid gardener and thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors.

Tony was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and remained a fervent patriot his entire life. He proudly wore a US Navy baseball cap each day for many years and enjoyed participating in Veteran’s Day events.

Tony dearly loved his family and very much enjoyed sharing memorable times with them.  He is survived by his two sons, Richard and his wife, Linda, of North Carolina, Ronald and his wife, Claire, his three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Janine Pasqua, of North Carolina, Jacqueline Petrizzi, her husband, Tyler and their son, Zachary and Jennifer Anderson, her husband, Benjamin and their daughter, Victoria, of West Hartford, his brother, Fred Pasqua and his wife, Emily, of New Canaan, and brother-in-law Sam Romano and his wife, Phyllis, of Ridgefield. Tony also leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews. His cherished niece, Susan Smeraldi and her husband Patrick selflessly brought their Uncle Tony much joy, comfort and caring particularly in his later years.

Tony was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife of 68 years, Lucy Pasqua, his three sisters, Mary Morelli, Caroline Orsaia, Rose Pasqua, and his brothers Attilio, Dominick and Pasquale Pasqua.

Our family is grateful for the expert care, dedication and heartfelt compassion Dr. Vipulkumar Bhalodiya provided Tony for many years.
