Obituary of Florence Razzaia
Florence (Zezima) Razzaia, 86, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Filosa for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Danbury, CT. She was born on October 29, 1931 in Greenwich, CT to the late Anthony J. and Serafina (Leopardi) Zezima.
Florence was a stay-at-home mom in her early years, then employed as a bookkeeper until becoming Office Manager at the Italian Center of Stamford, where she remained for 25 years before retiring at the age of 76. She will be remembered as a hard-working provider who was strong, selfless, charitable and fun-loving with an infectious laugh and a compassionate soul who had an undying love for her family.
Florence was the loving mother of Lori and her husband, Albert Mariani of Somers, NY, Gregory and his wife, Kelly Razzaia of Shelton, CT and Darryl Razzaia of New York City. She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, Michael Mariani, Nicholas Razzaia, Matthew Mariani and Robert Razzaia. She was the beloved sister of Vickie (Zezima) Arcuri. She also leaves behind many adoring nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony Lawrence Zezima and Carmine (Sandy) Zezima.
Family will receive friends Thursday, May 10th from 4-8 pm at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Friday, May 11th at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien, CT.
