Obituary of Betty Ann Piro
Betty Ann Piro, 88, passed quietly on June 18, 2018. Betty was born on January 11, 1930 in Greenwich, CT. She lived all her life in Riverside, CT. She is predeceased by her husband, Michael Piro Sr, her parents, Philip and Maria Pasquarelli and five brothers, James, Dominic, Angelo, Louis and Samuel and one sister, Rose Frabrizio. She is survived by one brother, Joseph Pasquarelli and her three children, Michael, Jr. (Linda), Steven (Judy) and Patti, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Betty came from a very loving and large family where music played a major part of her life. She loved good food, socializing and enjoyed going out to dinner and attending plays with her friends. Betty especially loved to dance. If there was music playing Betty was dancing. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society, was on a Lawn Bowling team and was very involved for many years planning her class reunions. Betty worked at Conde Nast and later after her children were grown, at Innis Arden Country Club. Betty was a loving, caring, wife, mother and friend. She has touched the hearts of everyone she knew and she will be truly missed by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine’s Church of Siena in Riverside, CT on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, CT. No calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Lacerenza Funeral Home, Stamford, CT.
