Obituary of Salvatore D. Tripodi

Salvatore D. Tripodi, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Stamford Hospital. He was born May 5^th,1940 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Angela Alati Tripodi and his children Rosario (Daniela), Erica (Joel), and Carmelo (Josie). In addition, he is also survived by a brother and sister and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Salvatore was a talented tailor that owned New Canaan Custom Tailoring for many years.  He loved gardening, telling stories from his childhood, playing cards, told the best jokes and enjoyed spending time with his family.  His smile and personality lit up any room he entered. He was a loving husband and father who will be missed by all. He was the light of our lives and will forever be in our hearts and live on in our memories.

Salvatore’s family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, August 7^th from 5p.m. to 8p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home in Stamford, 8 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Wednesday, August 8^th at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford, CT.  Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien.
