Obituary of Marie A. Marino

Marie Ann Marino, age 80, passed away on August 15, 2018.  She resided for many years in Stamford, with her husband Dominic Marino until his passing in 2015.  She was born in Westchester County in NY on November 25, 1937. The daughter of Filomena and Clement Lettieri.

Marie is survived by two sisters, Antonia Lorenti, and Madeline Sabato and their husbands Vincent Lorenti and Joseph Sabato, all of Stamford, CT.  A brother, Anthony Lettieri of Bethel, CT, and her two nephews Peter Lettieri of Austin, Texas and Matthew Lettieri of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Marie Congelosi, Jane Tullo and brother-in-law Steve Marino along with many nieces and nephews.

Marie was raised in Port Chester, NY and she was employed for many years in administrative roles at Fawcett Publications in Greenwich, CT, and the GT&E Corporation here in Stamford until her retirement in 1998.  

She was a dedicated parishioner at Sacred Heart Church where she worked and volunteered as a member of the parish office staff in her most recent years.  Marie was also a member of the Church Choir, Rosary Altar Society, and also served as a member of the Parish Council.   

Visitation will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Sunday, August 19thfrom 2:00-6:00p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 20that 10:30a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
