Obituary of Frank J. Giordano

Frank John Giordano, 92, passed away peacefully at his home, on Monday, August 27.  Born in San Vincenzo La Costa, Italy on February 12, 1926, son of Moses and Virginia Giordano. At the age of 9, Frank arrived in the United States with his parents and has resided in Stamford, CT ever since. He was employed by F.A.G. Bearings Corporation of Stamford for many years until he retired and joined his wife Sylvia in operating the former Corner Vue Cleaners. He was a member of the St. Leo’s Seniors and enjoyed visiting with family, gardening and sitting at the beach.

Frank is predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Giordano. He is survived by his son Gary Giordano and wife Nancy of Ayer, MA, his daughter Gina Giordano of Hoboken, NJ; two grandchildren Tracey Neithercott and her husband Matt and Jillian Giordano; and a large extended family including, many nieces and nephews.  

Calling hours will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, September 4 from 4:00-7:00p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo’s Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
