Obituary of Florence C Mason

Florence (Gallo) Mason, 96, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family and friends throughout her brief illness. Born on August 16, 1922 in Greenwich, CT, Florence (Flo) was the beloved daughter of the late Rocco and Angelina (Angotta) Gallo.
Flo was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward S. Mason; beloved son, Edward R. Mason; sister, Jane Mecca and brother, Louis Gallo.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy and husband Michael Lucente of Oxford, CT; Laura Adams of Riverside, CA; Carol and Larry Chiappetta of Stamford, CT and sister, Rose Croft of Stamford, CT. She adored and was adored by her grandchildren, Donna, Michael and David Lucente; Michael Catino and Marie Chiappetta Geotes; and David Adams. She was also dearly loved by her six great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. 
Flo was the heart of her family. To her love was not a commandment, it was the way she lived her life. She treasured her family and she loved being with people and doing for others. She brought joy to everyone she met and expressed her love even with her final breaths. She will be sadly missed and leaves her family brokenhearted. 
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 24 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will take place at a later date.
