Obituary of Eleanor A. Smith

Eleanor Mancini Smith passed away peacefully at The Villa of Stamford, on November 1, 2018.

She was born on July 17, 1928 in Stamford, CT to the late Amedeo and Jenny Terenzio Mancini.

Eleanor worked as a Sales Associates for Bloomingdales’ for 18 years. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas G. Smith, her former husband Rocco Cipri, her son, Danny Cipri, her brothers William and Fred Mancini, and her sister, Mary Bellantoni.

She is survived by her son Rocco (Rick) Cipri, her sister Beatrice Pelazza, her grandchildren, Sonia Testa, Rocco Cipri Jr, Charlotte and Adrian Cipri; 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Gloria Jean McGraw. 

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Regina Boateng, her loving caregiver for three years and to the caring staff at The Villa of Stamford nursing home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 9th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford. Inurnment will follow at St John’s Cemetery, Camp Ave, Darien. There will be no calling hours. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital or the Humane Society.
