Obituary of Mary Biancardi

Mary C. Biancardi, 89, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away to heaven on Saturday, November 24, 2018.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Perna) Biancardi, and sister of the late Patsy J. Biancardi.  Mary is survived by her brother, Joseph Biancardi, Jr. and his wife Yvonne of Arizona; her niece, Linda Ann Biancardi of New Milford; her nephew Alan Biancardi and his wife Brenda, and grand-nephew Kyle, all of Arizona.

As a young woman, Mary helped with the family business, Biancardi Bakery, in Stamford. She graduated from Short’s Secretarial School and went on to work for Catholic Charities and the Stamford Health Department. 

Mary will always be remembered for her sweet smile, her sense of humor, and her love of music, especially Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin tunes. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 29 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT.
