Obituary of Dr. Richard A. D'Amico

Richard A. D’Amico, 67, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2018. He leaves behind his devoted wife Elizabeth (Liz), his loving children Michelle, Danielle and Richard Jr., his sister Karen Korres and his nephew Christopher and nieces Lauren and Kathryn, Uncle Pasquale Scialdone and family, Aunt Rosemarie Scialdone and family, sister-in-law Diane LeBeouf and family. Rich enjoyed medicine but his joy was coaching football both at NRHS and Iona College. He coached many young men who have becomes his “other sons.” Rich had a way of inspiring, consoling and mentoring many who have crossed his path. He was an avid Giants and Yankees fan. Rich was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. He will be missed by all the peoples lives he touched. 

Calling hours will be on Friday, December 28 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.
