Obituary of ANGELO E. MALLOZZI
Angelo E. Mallozzi, 89, died peacefully in his home on November 18, 2015 after a long illness.
Angelo, a devoted husband and family man is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Carol McFarland (Wallingford), Danny Mallozzi (Redding), Lorraine James (Stamford), and Eugene Mallozzi (New London, NH). He is preceded in death by his father and mother (Eugenio &Thomasina Mallozzi),sister (Alexandria Cornacchio), all whom also lived in Stamford, CT.
Angelo, was born on February 14th, 1926 in Stamford, CT, son of Eugenio &Thomasina of Mintuno, Italy. He attended Stamford High School and enlisted in the US Navy in 1944 where he became a trained and skilled tool and die maker. He received several medals (Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal), for his efforts during the war and returned to Stamford where he met and married his wife Susan Belleau of Ontario, CA.
Angelo, was an accomplished at tool and die craftsmen until he retired in 1993. He was a devoted husband and family man. His favorite sports were fishing and baseball and loved spending time with family and friends. Many happy days spent at the Stamford beaches and parks.
The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County for their care and dedication.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 20th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. A prayer service will be conducted at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Angelo's life. Interment will take place in private.
