It is with much sadness that I write thiscondolence to the Hill-Stewart families to let them know how
sad I am to read of your loss. She and Cornelius will always be a part of me because of their love and
respect for others while attending Reidsville Elementary and Center High School. May God continue to

I met Ms. Maxine at a church function and she was so sweet and nice and she told me about working in real estate and she gave me her card which I still have. She will be missed!

Her giggle was musical as she'd say, "Oh, Marion!" and we'd laugh. We shared so much laughter together, Maxine, Dora & I.
Every time I saw her, she'd added another accomplishment to her life; ministry, counseling, as well as making time for everyone she loved. She always had time. She was tenacious, not ambitious, and did more than the most ambitious. Everything she attained made the world a better place. She attracted love and beauty.
Taylar, after your mother's service, I wrote to Maxine not only to express my condolences but to thank her for helping me feel the Spirit. I had just lost someone special. Together at that service, I felt such healing; it was radiating between us. Such a special moment to share.
Communicating through hand squeezes and eye contact, the last time I saw Maxine I was able to assure her we would see each other again and that I would be conscious of her presence. She understood our grief, still guiding us as she prepared to go, tranquil in her assurance.
Good night, my very dear friend. I will be seeing you.

Maxine was an angel on earth. I worked with her for many years at William Pitt real estate. May she rest in the Lord’s peace. She was one of a kind and one of the kindest people I knew

I will miss your beautiful smile and warmth. Even though we haven't spoke in a long time, I knew that you were always present. Thank you for being that silent friend who I could look around and say if all else failed I know that I could always go to you for a hug, a smile and a Word of comfort and encouragement. Take your rest dear sweet lady. I know that the Lord will say "Well Done my good and faithful servant..." Prayers of Strength and comfort to you her family and friends in this most difficult time.

Maxine was a student and Supervisee of mine at Nyack. My heart goes out to you the family members. Maxine was both thoughtful and profound in her sharing, a demonstration of her deep love and appreciation for people of all origins. She had a heart of compassion and a people mindset. You are all in my heart and prayers. May her soul Repose In Peace as Light perpetually shine on her.

I’m still in such disbelief about this tragic loss. I knew Ms. James back when I was just a little kid growing up in Greater Faith church, I’m so shocked & hurt by this loss. May her soul Rest In Peace. Rock the heavens & my condolences to her family & also to the hill family. RIP Ms. James-Stewart.
Love, Jeffrey Lee
