Obituary of CHRISTOPHER F. SWEENY

Christopher Fultz Sweeny passed away peacefully on November 15, 2015. He was born May 7, 1953 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to the late Charles Edward Sweeny and Daphne Pullen Sweeny. He was a long time Stamford resident, and most recently a resident of Norwalk. Chris owned and operated several restaurants in the Stamford area. His joy in life was tending bar, listening to his customers, and telling his perfectly delivered jokes. Everyone who knew him considered him to be a loyal friend and confidante. Chris was an avid golfer, in addition to being a New York Giants, Mets and Ranger fan. Chris leaves behind his beloved wife Lisa Cassone Pisano and her children Rebecca and Thomas. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Sweeny and her loving partner Dan Rysz of New Britain, brother Charles Edward Sweeny, Jr. (June) of Wilmington, NC, and brother Peter Ross Sweeny (Joanne) of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by his former wife, Susan Kaye Sweeny of Stamford, and her brothers, Phillip Kaye (Linda), who was like a brother to him, and Matthew Kaye (Mary), along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Chris was also predeceased by his beloved son, Christopher “CJ” Sweeny, Jr. A graveside service will be Saturday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford.
