Obituary of Rolf E Kiesel

Rolf Kiesel, 84, of Darien passed away at home on October 26, 2019. 

He was born on September 3, 1935 in Freudenstadt, Germany, the son of the late Hugo and Helene Kiesel. 

In 1968, Rolf and his late wife Sylvia decided to start a new life in the United States. They live in New Jersey where Rolf worked in his occupation as a field engineer and moved to Darien in 1985. 

He was a long-time member of the Turner Liedertafel German American Club in Stamford, CT and Clark New, NJ. He was an avid sports fan especially soccer.  

Surviving Rolf is his sister Christel Thaler, nieces Angelika Thaler-Jung and family, Gabriele Bareiss and family and nephews Peter Thaler and family, Bernd Fleissner and family all in Germany. Sister-in-law Edeltraud Aengenheyster of Florida, nephews Arnold, Mark and Kirk Aengenheyster of the U.S.

He was loved by all. May he rest in peace.
