Obituary of Frank P. Veneziano
Frank Peter Veneziano, a longtime resident of Stamford and Norwalk, Conn., and most recently of West Palm Beach, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2019, at the age of 61.
Born May 14, 1958, in Greenwich, Conn., to Adeline (Locicero) Veneziano and the late Frank Joseph Veneziano, Frank graduated from Rippowam High School in Stamford in 1976. He worked for more than 35 years as a mechanic and diagnostician with Volvo and Toyota of Stamford. In 2016, Frank moved to Boynton Beach, Fla., to pursue a career as a project manager for home restoration companies.
Frank is survived by his two children, Tyler Joseph Veneziano and Lindsay Veneziano, and his ex-wife, Beth Talbott, all of Fairfield, Conn., his mother, Adeline Veneziano of Scottsdale, Ariz., and his sister, Janet Veneziano of Scottsdale Ariz.
A driven professional, Frank was a skilled mechanic, but his true love was in helping those he knew, or who he even just met. His love of people and community helped to launch his second career in Florida as a renovation project manager. He saw a need to help those faced with home disaster, and his goal and hope was to ease the process for them during a tough time.
An athlete in high school, Frank continued to lead an active lifestyle, participating in competitive softball, coaching, bowling, skiing, boating and hobbies such as building and flying model helicopters and drones. In addition to his love for his family and friends, Frank always had a special love for his furry friends, most recently Whiskers, Benjamin and his new baby Cheech.
Frank was an active member and past president of the Laurel Athletic Club in Norwalk, an organization that benefits local sports organizations, primarily focusing on youth athletics. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the Laurel Athletic Club, 13 North Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851.
Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, where there will be a memorial service at 6:15 p.m. A reception will follow at 7 p.m. for friends and family.
