Obituary of GIOVANNI MARENA

Giovanni “John” Marena, 59, of Stamford, CT passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 19, 1956 in Italy, the son of the late Salvatore Marena. He is survived by his wife, Lola (Bertucci) Marena; his mother, Teresa (Uva) Marena; sons, Salvatore Marena and wife Margaux, Frank Marena; sister Eugenia Fraccaroli and her husband Romeo; and grandchildren Dylan and Lily. He also leaves behind many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. John loved to laugh and had an amazing sense of humor. You could always count on him to tell a great joke and for being the life of the party. He was an avid sports fan and a lover of his mothers home cooking. John was adored by many and touched the lives of everyone he met. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. There are no calling hours.
