Obituary of CATHERINE IEVOLI

Catherine Ievoli, 102, a Stamford resident passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 19, 1913 in Italy, the daughter of the late Rafael and Filomena Stellato. Catherine is survived by her beloved children, Ralph Ievoli and his wife Angela, Mary Pensiero and her husband Nicholas; grandchildren, Scott Pensiero, Jason Pensiero, Caroline Sasser and her husband Duffy, Thomas Ievoli and his wife Maria, Cathy D'Amico, John Ievoli and his wife Donna; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brothers Sam Stellato, Vincent Stellato; sisters Jessie Sorbo, Rose Napoli, and her loving brother-in-law Dominick Napoli. Catherine was a dedicated parishioner for years and served as president of the Sacred Heart Seniors at Sacred Heart Church. Though she hadn’t lived in Manhattan for years, she had an everlasting love of the city and always considered herself a New Yorker.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Saint Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY.
