Obituary of MICHAEL ANTHONY DEBARTOLOMEO

Michael Anthony DeBartolomeo, 59, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on August 31, 2015 with his family beside him due to complications of pneumonia. Born on May 17, 1956, Michael was a graduate of Stamford High School Class of 1977. He was a longtime Boy Scout and an athlete of the Special Olympics since 1974. Michael won scores of medals and trophies. He worked at ARI Sheltered Workshop. He is survived by his loving mother, Marie "Chickie" (Nocita) DeBartolomeo; his sister, Renee Perrin and her husband Kim David; brothers Anthony DeBartolomeo, Tim DeBartolomeo and his wife Donna; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael is predeceased by his beloved father, Michael A. DeBartolomeo Jr., who was waiting for him with open arms. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget of Ireland Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
