Obituary of IDA C. MAGNIFICO

Ida C. Magnifico, 93, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Ida was the daughter of the late Michael and Victoria Calomino of Stamford. She was predeceased by her husband, John Magnifico, her son, John Magnifico Jr., her brothers Frank Calomino and Michael Calomino, and her sister Anne Judice. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Michael and Wendy Magnifico of Glastonbury, David Magnifico and Vickey Warner of Rocky Hill. Ida had four beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Sean, Daniel and Nicholas. Ida also leaves behind her sisters Rose Calomino and Dolores Berger, her sister-in-law Marcia Calomino and many cherished nieces and nephews. Ida lived a full life, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. She always had a smile on her face and a story to tell. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and family meant everything to her. She had strong faith, was extremely loyal and fiercely protective. Our lives have been greatly enriched because of her and she will be deeply missed. Calling hours will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home,8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamfordon Friday, March 31 from 9:00-10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford.
