Obituary of Bette DeLuca
Elizabeth “Bette” DeLuca passed away on April 4th, 2018, at the age of 93. Bette was born on January 31st, 1925 to John and Bertha Negyesi in Stamford, CT. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph E. DeLuca and her daughter, Paula A. (DeLuca) Bohn.
Bette lived in Stamford most of her life. She spent her last 17 years living in Arizona with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Bette enjoyed music, painting, making porcelain dolls, sewing dresses and clothes for her granddaughter and great-granddaughter and most of all, feeding people. Bette could always be counted on for a great meal and plenty of food to feed anyone who showed up. She was also known for the elaborate cookie trays that she would make every year at Christmas time, spending weeks and days, baking dozens of different types of cookies, that she would make into trays and give away.
The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice in Arizona for the loving care and peace they provided Bette on her journey from this life over the last year.
There will be a graveside ceremony at St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk, CT on Friday April 13th, 2018 at 11am, where Bette will be laid to rest with her husband Joe, and her daughter Paula. To leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.lacerenzafh.com
