Here it is the day of the funeral and a former co-worker at Greenwich Library sent me the information that Matt had died. I do not know what kind of surgery he had to have complications from but do know this is a blow. I remember hiring Matthew as one of the best hires I ever made in 40 year of being a Library Director in various places. He was cheerful, did a great job, learned what he could find to learn and had a special way of saying hello to me in the past 20 years when I could visit. I always enjoyed his conversation. It is a big loss to many, I am sure that he is gone. My condolences.
